Stainless Steel Ornamental Tubing
Euro Steel offers Stainless Steel Ornamental tubing (also known as Stainless Steel Decorative tube) in 3 different shapes Round, Rectangular and Square. Stainless Steel Ornamental tubing is used for various purposes the most significant being architectural.

This Ornamental tubing is purely decorative and is not suitable for pipe line applications where any fluids are being transported. Stainless Steel Round tube comes in a standard mirror polish (Satin 180 grit finish is available on request only) whilst Stainless Steel Square and Stainless Steel Rectangular tube is stocked standard in a 180grit Satin finish. All Ornamental tube is in accordance to a ASTM A554 Dimensional tolerances in accordance to ASTM A450 and/or ISO 1127 D3T3. Ornamental tubing Standard length is 6 meters. All tubes have the heat number, size and grade stamped on the inside of the tube.

Euro Steel carries a wide range of stock of ornamental tubing in grade 304 and grade 316. Grade 2101 and 444 are available on request. Sizes and wall thicknesses can be viewed by clicking onto links below

General rule of thumb for exterior applications within 4kms of the coastline use only grade 316 or grade 444 is suitable. If Stainless Steel is on the coastline we strongly recommend only using a high mirror polish grade 316 (one can also further enhancing the polished surface of the tube by Electo-polishing process). Satin finish exposed to the elements on the coast line can tarnish in colour due to chloride build up on the surface. Grade 304 should only be used for exterior applications inland and certain interior applications near the coast. If you are unsure on the correct grade of Stainless Steel to use contact Euro Steel.

  • MUCH TO CONSIDER
The Competition Tribunal began hearings on last week into the alleged excessive pricing of propylene and polypropylene by Sasol Chemical Industries (SCI) between 2004 and the end of 2007, with Advocate Arnold Subel outlining the commission’s case and Advocate Wim Trengove leading SCI’s defence. Pictured above are just some of the files that have been prepared by the legal teams for the long-running case. The matter was was referred to the tribunal in 2010 following a probe by the commission, which began in 2007. The hearings, which are under way in Pretoria, are due to run for most of May.
  • Talent Management
The 2013 departmental Budget-Vote cycle has more or less come and gone, with South Africa’s Cabinet Ministers having outlined their various programmes and spending priorities for the current fiscal year. There were a number of highlights. From Public Enterprises Minister Malusi Gigaba’s assertion that 50% of all Eskom’s coal should be supplied by emerging black coal miners from 2018, to Energy Minister Dipuo Peters’ statement that a new nuclear programme had the potential of ‘leapfrogging’ South Africa into a knowledge economy.
  • New growth ‘bargain’
A leading International Monetary Fund (IMF) official last week urged South Africa’s social partners of government, labour and business to pursue a “broad national bargain” to overcome the prevailing structural impediments to higher growth and employment. Speaking in Pretoria at an event hosted by the South African Institute of International Affairs, first deputy MD David Lipton said that, while there were external factors both supporting and constraining growth in the economy, South Africa needed to “do more on its own” to overcome a number of “home-grown” limits to faster economic expansion.
