Stainless Steel tread plate is a functional, decorative, durable and inexpensive patterned plate commonly used for stair tread and walkways. There are three locally available pattern types of Stainless Steel Tread plate namely “Boomerang” FLOOREX®, “Diamond” and “Butterfly/ H” patterns.
All Patterns of these stainless steel tread plates are slip resistant solid floor plates and are available in all grades of stainless steel and 3CR12. Tread plate (also commonly referred to as ‘Vastrap’) is available in a variety of finishes namely 2B, shot blast and No.1 (being the most common).
Apart from slip resistance, the advantages of stainless steel tread plate is its corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, low maintenance, hygienic applications and it can withstand high traffic/ wear and tear environments. Applications include flooring for hospitals, shopping centres and factories for high traffic areas, industrial walkways, pedestrian bridges, escalator approaches, kickplates, stair treads, emergency fire landings and a wide range of other architectural uses.
